Amateur Radio Magazine 1933 plus...Being added to....

The magazine, "Amateur Radio" was first published in October 1933. It followed an earlier magazine published in Queensland, but it was considered to be the next step in providing a better quality national magazine. The magazine is published in Victoria from 1933 to today.

The cost of the magazine to members was six pence (6d) and averaged 30 odd pagers per monthly magazine. During WW2, due mainly to advertisers withdrawing their support, the format of the magazine changed to a poor quality gestetner printing process.

A small selection of various historic ARs can be found at the bottom of the page.
